Creo Simulate is a conduction heat transfer code and will only calculated the heat flow through solids. The effect of fluid flow for heating or cooling is applied as a boundary constraint. The user is required to calculate and provide the convection coefficient and fluid temperature. For most forced convection cases knowledge of the surface temperature is not required. The following example shows the calculation required for a simple rectangular passage. Other configurations may be found in standard engineering texts.
