Zero Degree Crack

One of the most common errors encountered while running Creo Simulate contact simulations is the detection of a crack in the model resulting from the contact definition. When two surfaces are coincident and contact is defined between them, all edges of the resulting contact region must be exposed to the outer boundary of the model or Creo Simulate may interpret any hidden edges as a crack.

The following methods of fixing this problem require making changes to the parts and/or assembly.
